MathOtter Content Safety

NOTE: As of 04/18/26, AI assistance is no longer part of MathOtter. Legacy customers may still use AI-generated help.

MathOtter provides, as an option, AI-generated assistance. AI systems can malfunction and on rare occasions can generate inappropriate content.

We've taken mulitple steps to minimize the risk of this happening.

• We use a content filter to check EVERY AI response and block inappropriate content.
• ALL AI responses are stored for 90 days. (We can go back and investigate problems, should they arise.)
• There is no user input to the AI system. When AI assistance is requested for a specific problem, a structured question is sent to the AI system.
• The AI providers we contract with have their own content safety filters.
• We can switch to another AI provider if problems occur.
