About MathOtter

Hi! I'm David Pickut, an engineer and educator. I've spent more than 1,000 hours as a volunteer - tutoring and teaching the fundamentals of math and algebra to adults pursuing a GED .

I created MathOtter based on that experience. Sometimes, adults catching up on math and algebra foundation skills just need more practice when learning skills they haven't used for years. If a student gets stuck on a topic, multiple problem examples and step-by-step explanations of solutions and techniques can be helpful. And, students get tired of watching videos and redoing the same problems in books or on pdf practice sheets. They want a variety of practice problems.
